Riccardo Ianniello continues his preparation for the 2026 season with two key test sessions behind the wheel of a McLaren. The Italian driver took to the track at Misano and Monza, focusing on development work and adapting to the car ahead of his upcoming commitments in the European GT scene.

Two very different circuits, chosen deliberately to build a complete foundation: the technical and flowing layout of Misano on one side, and the high-speed characteristics and heavy braking zones of Monza on the other.

The test days were mainly focused on building confidence with the car, data analysis and stint management. A structured programme designed to optimise every aspect of performance, from pure driving to understanding the car’s behaviour in different conditions.

The feedback gathered was positive. The adaptation process to the McLaren is progressing as expected, with encouraging signs in both pace and consistency—key elements ahead of what promises to be a highly competitive season.

The work carried out between Misano and Monza represents an important step in building towards 2026. Not just mileage, but a true development path, where each session contributes to defining the level of preparation heading into the championship.

Alongside his on-track activity, Ianniello continues his involvement in driver development, combining racing experience and coaching within an increasingly structured programme.

The season is still ahead, but the foundations are already in place—and the early signs on track are promising.
