Ianniello and Jeets Head to Barcelona with McLaren Trophy Europe Podium in Their Sights

The McLaren Trophy Europe is entering the decisive stage of the season, and for Riccardo Ianniello the Barcelona round represents an important step in the fight for the leading positions in the Pro category. The Italian driver will arrive at the Catalan circuit alongside Gregor Jeets with 32 points, a tally that puts the pair third in the standings ahead of the penultimate round.

Behind the wheel of the McLaren Artura Trophy, Ianniello and Jeets head to Spain with the championship battle still extremely close. Ahead of them are Largim Ali, second with 33 points, and the pairing of Callum Davies and Luca Magnussen, who lead the standings on 36. Just four points therefore separate Ianniello and Jeets from the top, leaving them with every opportunity to change the balance of the championship during the closing stages of the season.

Barcelona comes at a point when speed and consistency begin to matter more than ever. With two races taking place over the same weekend and very small margins separating the leading contenders, every session could have an impact on the standings and determine the position from which Ianniello and Jeets approach the final round of the championship.

Ianniello and Jeets: A Season Built Together in the McLaren Artura

The third place achieved by Riccardo Ianniello and Gregor Jeets is the result of a campaign that has consistently kept them among the leading contenders in the Pro category. The partnership between the two drivers is particularly important in a championship where the car is shared. Individual one-lap performance alone is not enough: technical feedback, tyre management and setup direction must allow both drivers to get the most out of the McLaren Artura Trophy during their respective stages of the weekend.

It is a balance that has been developed throughout the season and becomes even more important as the championship approaches its conclusion. Every session now carries greater significance, while the margin for recovering from a compromised result becomes progressively smaller.

The Barcelona programme will begin on Friday with two free practice sessions, scheduled for 10:35 and 15:30. These will provide the first useful references for adapting the car to the characteristics of the circuit and preparing for what will already be an especially busy Saturday.

The third free practice session will begin at 09:05, just twenty minutes before Qualifying 1. Race 1 is scheduled for 12:30, while Sunday will follow a similar format, with the final practice session at 09:05, the second qualifying session at 09:25 and Race 2 at 14:25.

Finding an effective setup will therefore be essential. There will be little time to correct any problems and, with two races on the programme, the weekend will need to be approached as a whole rather than focusing on a single result.

Barcelona Could Reshape the Standings Ahead of the Final Round

The numbers clearly illustrate the situation Ianniello and Jeets face as they arrive in Spain. Davies and Magnussen share the championship lead with 36 points, Ali is second on 33, while the Italian-Estonian pairing follows with 32. Josh Mason also remains within reach on 28.5 points.

The leading group is therefore separated by only a handful of points, making Barcelona one of the rounds with the potential to significantly reshape the standings before the season finale.

For Ianniello, the objective will be to find the right balance between attack and management. Recovering four points would put the championship lead firmly within reach, while a difficult weekend could, at the same time, make the challenge considerably harder heading into the final round.

Qualifying will already play an important role. Starting near the front reduces the risks during the opening stages and allows greater freedom in managing the race, while having to fight through the field inevitably increases the possibility of becoming involved in battles within the pack.

The priority will therefore be to translate the work completed during free practice into a McLaren that is competitive from the very first qualifying lap, before building two strong races without losing sight of the overall championship situation.

Ianniello and Jeets arrive at this stage of the season in a position that still allows them to aim high. Being third ahead of the penultimate round is already evidence of a competitive campaign.

Three New Partners Join Ianniello for the Final Stages of the Season

As the sporting challenge enters its most important phase, the project supporting Riccardo Ianniello away from the track is also continuing to grow. From this closing stage of the McLaren Trophy Europe season, the Italian driver will be able to count on the support of CISAPITALIA, AGadget.it and Klubby.it, three new partners that will accompany him through the final rounds of the campaign.

CISAPITALIA operates in the field of local communications, providing services dedicated to advertising campaigns and the controlled distribution of promotional material. AGadget.it, meanwhile, specialises in promotional products and customisation, offering clothing, accessories and promotional items designed for the needs of businesses and events. The arrival of the three partners comes at a significant moment in the season, just as the McLaren Trophy Europe enters the stage where every result can alter the balance of the championship standings.

Barcelona will be the first major test of this final phase. For Ianniello and Jeets, the objective will be to turn the work built throughout the year into valuable championship points and reach the final round with the opportunity to fight all the way for the leading positions.
